Home Cancellations, Refunds, and Concerns

Refund Policy

    1. Courses offered at no fee – no refund
    2. Courses offered for fee –
      1. If participant cancels attendance with 24 hour or more notice the entire fee will; be refunded.
      2. If the participant cancels attendance with less than 24 hour notice the refund will be 75% of the fee, the remaining 25% to cover administrative costs incurred.
      3. Requests for refund after completion of the course will be handled on a case by case basis upon a showing of good cause. Requests to be directed to Catharine O’Connor, Head of Education, catharine@taxmentor.com.

Program Cancellation Policy

    1. Participants will receive notification of cancellation or rescheduling of a course at LEAST 24 hours before the course.
    2. Notification will be sent via email to confirmed participants.
    3. If a course is rescheduled the participant Must have at LEAST 48 hours notice in order to cancel and request refund if desired.

Complaint Resolution Policy

    1. Complaints will be directed to Catharine O’Connor, Head of Education, catharine@taxmentor.com.
    2. Internally, Tax Mentor will be the sole decider of appropriate resolution to complaints and requests for refund. Requests must demonstrate good cause to qualify for refund.
      1. Examples of good cause include, but are not limited to:
        1. Technical issues that are the fault of Tax Mentor Group which prevent the participant from materially participating in the course for CP/CPE Credit.
        2. A just showing that the participant was unable to gain value because of an incorrect perquisite/skill level listing.
        3. A just showing that the learning objectives were not substantially met.
      2. Examples of poor cause
        1. Participant did not like the aesthetic look of the presentation or speaking voice of the presenter, without showing that the learning objectives were not substantially met.
        2. Participant did not gain new learning absent a substantial showing that the pre-requisite and/or the course description was incorrect.
